With all hopes shattered, Ghanaians woke up to the shocking news of the passing of the talented artist behind the Penciled Celebrities artist, Emmanuel Aparaku, also known as Ray Styles.
Few months ago, news broke that the talented artist Ray Styles was battling liver problems and needed GHS 320,000 to undergo surgery; the campaign managed to raise a little over GHS 326,000 – which was little more than GHS 6,000.
Unfortunately on 1st October 2020, the talented artist passed on in India where he was receiving post-surgery treatment, breaking the hearts of many Ghanaians and art enthusiasts.
In an Instagram post, Gospel Musician and Pastor, Sonnie Badu, who had been in constant communication with Ray Styles shared their interactions, revealing how positive Ray Styles was from recovering from his illness. In the post, Sonnie Badu captioned:
Rest in power. It’s taken a minute for me to say good bye @penciledcelebrities … rest in power , you fought a good fight and your faith in God was beautiful …. till we meet again.. it’s purple
