Sheffield United have completed the signing of Rhian Brewster from Liverpool in a club-record deal of £23.5 million.
According to Goal, Liverpool will receive an initial fee of around £18m with the rest due in performance-related add-ons. The Reds have also secured a 15 per cent sell-on clause as well as a buy-back option that will be in operation for the next three years.
Brewster has made only four appearances for Liverpool after breaking into the first team through the club’s academy.
The 20-year-old showed that he could be a top striker after putting up an impressive performance for Swansea City last season. He joined Swansea on a half-season loan, and scored 11 goals in 22 games.
