For a minute there Opoku Ware Senior High School, looked like the one to suffer an upset in the 1/8th stage of the 2020 National Science And Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
At the end of round 1, Opoku Ware was in second place with 17 points while Agogo State College led with 20 points and Zabzugu was far behind with 3 points.
It was in the subsequent rounds that Opoku Ware took the lead from Agogo State College but never gaining much of an extended lead.
At the end of the contest Opoku Ware had 46 points while Agogo State College had 38 points with Zabzugu SHS trailing with 17 points.
Opoku Ware had only 8 points advantage when it narrowly won the contest to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Richmond Kyei Marfo and Noble Epton Asamoah represented Opoku Ware SHS while Michael Kwaku Daffour and Joseph Mensah represented Agogo State College, Zabzugu SHS was represented by Abdulai Abdul-Latif Mabinkum and Abdul-Rahaman Hamdu.
