No disrespect to our national anthem but these are some fire songs that have made several Ghanaians “go crazy” at some point.
It’s the kind of songs that will make any small gathering get lit the second it starts playing and if there’s any concert anywhere, trust that these songs will set the whole place on fire.
These aren’t just songs…they are electric currents.
Yaw Tog – Sore
Ever since this song went viral on social media, i haven’t seen any Snap that doesn’t have someone playing the song. No IG post without the song, no Whatsapp status or tweet without the current viral phrase “Santamerica miami fuor nyinaa yɛ me blood niggas”…it’s infectious.
Thunder Fire – Shatta Wale
It’s the way the song starts calmly and slowly builds up to become the anthem that is “Thunder Fire!!” that gets people every time!! Have you ever been to a concert where this song was played? The effect without Shatta on stage is just incredible!
Putuu (Prayer Freestyle) – Stonebwoy
What started as a freestyle from Stonebwoy that sounded like gibberish over a beat became an instant hit overnight. People have forgotten about the risks of COVID-19 just to study the lyrics of the song to scream at every public gathering. The Puttuu virus has infected everyone…from the streets to the chilly AC offices and, you can’t help but love the effect.
Godzilla – La Meme Gang
The La Meme Gang did something with this particular song. The energy the second the song starts, the production…the whole vibe. I can tell you for a fact that no one has remained seated while this song played in a gathering.
Grind Day remix – Kwesi Arthur
The first song that drew everyone to Kwesi Arthur like a moth to a flame. The original song and the remix have the same effect because one led to the other but the remix with Sarkodie and Medikal just makes it extra special. The juice is all in how Kwesi Arthur starts the remix.
Mr president…over to you.
