Things Every Ghanaian Without A Car Can Relate To

Where we’ve reached at this point in life de3 we all need a car. It’s just so convenient. You don’t have to rely on a friend or pay exorbitant prices when using car-hailing services because for some reason, they’re on surge.

If you don’t own a car, here are 5 things you can relate to.

1. Wondering how you’ll pass through the rain and go to work

Especially now that the rain falls anytime it likes, this is a problem for a lot of people. If you decide to get any car hailing service, you would have to plan to pay more because there’s a good chance that they’ll be on surge.

2. Having to be friends with someone at work because they have a car

No matter how annoying they are, you need to swallow your words and be nice to them because they reduce your transportation costs by half each day.

3. Having to board trotro halfway to a place when you don’t know the exact location

All you need to know is the general location; for example “East Legon”. You don’t know where exactly in East Legon but they’ve sent you location on WhatsApp. You just have to board trotro to a point closer to East Legon and continue the journey to the precise location in the ride hailing service of your choice. You’re welcome.

4. Wishing you had a car after an event

It is after events that you get very very frustrated with the fact that you don’t own a car. Whiles others are walking confidently to their cars, the car hailing services you want to order from are on surge with ridiculous prices so you don’t even want to think about it. You get to the roadside and it’s Taxi drivers’ cocoa season because they can mention any price and because you need them, you’ll have to go with them.

5. Calculating how much you spend on transportation gives you a small heart attack

Life is really not easy. Anytime you’re withdrawing money so you transport yourself from one place to another, you start to even question God because by now, he should have brought you your helper but there you are. Even the trotro mates know you and reserve a seat for you when they’re coming to your junction.

Which of these can you relate to? What did I leave out? Let me know in the comments section.
