Ghanaian actor Kofi Siriboe is gradually laying the groundworks for an A-list actor status in Hollywood.
The actor, who is best known for his role as Ralph Angel Bordelon in Queen Sugar.
This October, his feature film ‘Really Love’ will be released in the United States of America. Kofi played the lead role.
The movie is set in Washington DC, where a rising Black painter tries to break into a competitive art world, while balancing a whirlwind romance he never expected.
Before the film’s October 2020 release, the performance by Kofi Siriboe and Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing (his character’s love interest) have been praised.
The film received a Special Jury Recognition for Acting for the performances of Kofi Siriboe and Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.
Though the 2020 SXSW Film Festival was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film festival’s awards were given out as planned.
Naturi Naughton, Uzo Aduba and Michael Ealy also star in the movie.
