When COVID-19 cases were recorded in the country back in March, President Akufo Addo announced a series of measures to curb the spread of the virus.

Among those measures was the free supply of water.

When the first three months of the free supply was about to end in June, President Akufo Addo extended it for another three months.

This meant this month would have been the last month we get to enjoy free water supply.

However, the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah has announced that President Akufo Addo has extended the free supply of water to December 31.

According to the minister, it is still part of the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
