Museums are special places that keep artifacts that are essential to understand the background of a people, where they are now and where they are heading.

Museums, are the perfect place to visit for a refresher course on who were are, what were are made of, what we have done and what we can achieve.

Knowing one’s story is essential for growth, however, most Ghanaians have not picked up the habit of visiting museums.

In part, that is the reason why Nana Oforitta Ayim and her team are bringing the museum to the centre of various Ghanaian communities and cities.

She and her team have been traveling the country with what they call the Mobile Museum.

The moveable box is filled with artworks from some of the rising Ghanaian talents that reflect on the community they are visiting.

As it travelled through Ghana, it is also collecting the indigenous stories of the communities.

Undoubtedly, the COVID-19 pandemic affected the Mobile Musuem project and it’s our hope that is comes back!
