Last night, Tyler Perry accepted the Governors Award at the EMMYs in recognition for his “extraordinary” or “cumulative” accomplishment in the entertainment industry. Regina King also picked up her fourth EMMY and Zendaya made history by becoming the youngest to win best lead actress in a drama for her role in “Euphoria.”

The award show was affected by the pandemic and award winners joined in virtually.
