We are a little over two months away from the 2020 General Elections.

The election is shaping up to be one of the hotly contested elections in the country.

Everything is at stake here as a former President tries to come back to office and another is trying to hold on to power.

Issues around security would have to be key, as such, the Ghana Police Service is carrying out an activity to assure Ghanaians that they are ready to keep the peace before, during and after the election.

Tomorrow (Monday September 21) officers of the Ghana Police Service will be marching on the streets of Accra.

This outdoor activity will include the show of force such as ammunition, ambulance, trained dogs, amour vehicles among others.

The march will start from the Police Headquarters through Ako Adjei Interchange, 37 Military Hospital, Obasanjo Highway, Kawukudi Roundabout, Accra Girls SHS, Pig Farm, all through to La Teshie Road, Danquah Circle and back to the Police HQ.

Statement from Ghana Police Service

The march will start at 6:00 am and end by noon. If you plan on going out, you will be experiencing slow moving traffic on these roads.
