Lupita Nyong’o has finally made a public statement on the death of her Black Panther co-star Chadwick Boseman.
Chadwick died of colon cancer on August 28, 2020. According to a statement from his representatives, Chadwick “died in his home, with his wife and family by his side”. He died aged 43.
There have been a lot of tributes to Chadwick from his fellow hollywood stars and other prominent people.
Lupita has also shared a touching tribute to Chadwick Boseman, indicating that the news of his death “is a punch to my gut every morning.”
“I write these words from a place of hopelessness, to honor a man who had great hope. I am struggling to think and speak about my friend, Chadwick Boseman, in the past tense. It doesn’t make sense. The news of his passing is a punch to my gut every morning.”
She also wrote about their time on set and everything that she learnt from Chadwick in their short time together.
