Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica was disqualified from the reality show on Sunday for breaking House rules.

Erica’s disqualification came after she earlier recieved two strikes for going contrary to rules that govern the Big Brother House.

The rules that she broke which got her disqualified include bullying, provocation, and allegedly threatening to kill fellow housemate, Laycon.

Erica’s disqualification from the Big Brother House made her fans very unhappy, as they felt she was treated unfairly.

Erica’s fans, however, made a huge move by setting up a GoFundMe account for her to enable her “realize some of her hopes and aspirations.”

The description of the page states: “For Erica Nlewedim, the star of BBNaija season 5, Lockdown edition whose journey on the show came to an emotional end – To realize some of her hopes and aspirations.

The target of the fundraiser is $100,000, and as at the time of filing this report, $14,376 had been raised in 12 hours since the creation of the page.

The creation of a GoFundMe page for Erica has been condemned by some Nigerians on Twitter.

They described the move as a “misplaced priority”, and are also questioning the mentality and seriousness of Nigerian youth.

The Nigerians against the GoFundMe page also indicated that money being donated for Erica could be used to fund other useful projects.
