Lionel Messi, lastweek, dropped a bombshell on Barcelona when he handed in a transfer request to leave the club this summer.
The 33-year-old reportedly sent a fax to Barcelona asking the club to allow him to activate a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave on a free transfer this summer, with his deal currently set to expire at the end of next season.
Messi’s decision to leave Barcelona has came as a shock to everyone in the world including non-footabll enthusiasts.
He has been linked with a reunion with former Barca boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
The Barcelona board, however, has indicated that Messi can only leave Barcelona if his €700 million release clause is met. This decision has been supported by La Liga.
Messi’s dad and agent are currently in talks with the Barcelona board over the future of the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.
While the final decision is been discussed, Nigerian pastor T.B Joshua has advised Messi against leaving Barcelona “bitter and offended.”
“It is not good advice for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona bitter and offended. It is impossible to establish a healthy relationship with a person who left a previous relationship bitter and offended. This is my candid advice to Messi. History is our boss,” T.B wrote on his Facebook page.
Here are the reactions to T.B Joshua’s advice to Messi:
