According to reports, Apple‘s third-generation AirPods is rumored to launch in the first half of next year. Digitimes reports Apple’s supply chain partner Inventec will only provide 20 percent of the assembly orders for the new model.
Apple also uses Luxshare and Goertek for AirPod assembly. And although Inventec will still be included as a supply chain partner, it will only account for 20 percent or less of the total orders demanded, according to industry sources.
Analyst Ming-Chi Ku predicted that a next-generation Airpods would release in the first half of 2021, which he expects to have a similar design to the Airpods Pro. However, it may not include some of its most recent features like active noise canceling. As for the AirPods Pro earphones themselves, rumors have indicated second-generation models could debut in the second half of 2021.
