The summer transfer window in Europe is still open, and clubs are doing business and making sure that they purchase good players that will help their teams compete for trophies in the upcoming 2020/21 season.
Chelsea is one of Europe’s top clubs that have done some good business this transfer window, after they were slapped with a two-window transfer ban last season by FIFA for breaching regulations relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.
They have already signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, Thiago Silva from PSG, and Malang Sarr from OGC Nice.
They are also set to complete a €100 million move for Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen. However, this deal has stretched and it has left a lot of Chelsea fans frustrated.
During a live broadcast of President Akufo-Addo’s 16th COVID-19 Update to the nation on Facebook on Sunday, a Ghanaian football fan asked the President for an update on Kai Havertz’s move to Chelsea.
Ghanaians for you… Very interesting people.
But, Kai Havertz will definitely move to Chelsea soon, after Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz indicated at a press conference on Monday that he does not expect Kai Havertz to play for the club again.
“I don’t expect Volland and Havertz to train with us again. It’s possible more players will transfer. We definitely still have to add some players,” Bosz said.
