After President Akufo Addo promised to construct an airport at Cape Coast, now it is being reported that the city will also be getting its own passport office.
The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Cape Coast, Hon. Ernest Arthur has announced that work on the Central Regional Passport office is complete and will be operational very soon.
For many years, residents of Cape Coast and the Central Region, the hub of Ghana’s Tourism, have been crying for a Passport Processing Office in the region.
Prospective passport applicants would have to travel to either Accra or Takoradi to process their traveling passports.
Though this seems like a campaign promise, it is hoped that the office will be operational before the election.
