In Honour Of Chadwick: Aubameyang Tipped To Score Against Liverpool

Liverpool and Arsenal will face off in the 2020 FA Community Shield later today [August 29, 2020] at the Wembley Stadium.

The Community Shield is an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season’s Premier League and the previous season’s FA Cup. It is also viewed as the traditional curtain-raiser for the new Premier League season.

Liverpool and Arsenal are the winners of last season’s Premier League and FA Cup, respectively.

However, there’s one thing a lot of football fans are looking forward to in this game, and that’s a goal celebration from Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in honour of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, who died of cancer aged 43.

Football fans are calling for this because Aubameyang, in March 2019, celebrated with a Black Panther mask when he scored against Rennes in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Aubameyang told BT Sport after the game that: “I needed the mask to represent me.”

“Black Panther… in Africa and Gabon we are called the Black Panthers so it represents me – that’s it,” he added.

Footballs fans hope to see this celebration again, today, in the Community Shield, in honour of Chadwick Boseman.
