Leading the charge to change the notion behind streetwear in Ghana, Free The Youth a crew of fashion entrepreneurs in Ghana formed in 2013 by Jonathan Coffie, a Ghanaian interior decorator, and his associate named Kelly Foli have made it possible for Ghanaian streetwear brands.

On friday 28th August, 2020, Free The Youth will join the likes of Virgil Abloh, Angelo Baque, Ciesay, Vivendii, Motherlan, Jefferson Osei and Hussein Sulieman, Ireti Zaccheaus, Guillaume Schimdt and Jomi Bello & Nifemi Bello on Homecoming Intl Crew 2020, hosted by Alex Sossah and Grace Ladoja under the theme “Can Africa Generate the Rebirth of Streetwear”

In an Instagram post Joey Lit Co-founder of Free The Youth wrote, Representing 🇬🇭 in this year @ourhomecoming Live Panel Talk Friday 18:00PM EST, CAN AFRICA GENERATE THE REBIRTH OF STREETWEAR? Together with some of streetwear’s most essential figures and exciting prospects, this discussion frames a global fashion movement within the context of Africa’s creative renaissance and its international influence, from the underground up.
