COVID-19: Ghana’s Active Cases Now 1,325

Ghana has recorded 72 new COVID-19 cases, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed in its latest update on August 26, 2020.

The new cases have now increased the total case count to 43,841.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the 72 new cases were reported to the lab on August 24, 2020.

403 persons have also recovered from COVID-19, taking the total number of recoveries to 42,246.

The new recoveries have contributed to reducing the number of active cases to 1,325.

The death toll, however, still stands at 270, since the last update on August 25, 2020.

The Ghana Health Service further indicated that 5 persons are in a critical condition, 3 are on ventilators, and 14 are in severe condition.
