Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale has sent a strong warning to politicians seeking to take advantage of his association with them.

It seems, his management team has already picked up information that some of the politicians are tapping into his brand gain an advantage ahead of the elections.

In a strongly worded short statement on Facebook, Shatta Wale warned politicians not to use his picture or his brand on any political campaign or platforms.

“Moving forward No one should use my picture or my brand on any political campaign or platforms,” he said.

“Myself and my loyal fans will support and cooperate with any person who Ghanaians elect as their president,” he added.

It is not clear whether this includes him stopping politicians from playing his music at such events as well.

It can be recalled that ahead of the 2016 General Elections, Shatta Wale performed for the John Mahama campaign when the then President inaugurated the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange.

However, he later revealed that he was paid to perform which for he counted as just another event he was booked to perform.
