COVID-19: Ghana’s Active Cases Now 1,656

Ghana has recorded 65 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total case count to 43,325.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the 65 new cases were reported on August 19, 2020.

The total number of recovery/discharged cases have also increased to 41,408, after 132 more persons recovered the disease since the last update on August 20.

The number of active cases also currently stand 1,656.

The death toll, however, still remains at 261.

The Ghana Health Service further indicated that 4 persons are in a critical condition, 2 are on ventilators, and 14 are in severe condition.
