COVID-19: Ghana Records 101 New Cases And 8 New Deaths

Ghana has recorded 101 COVID-19 cases, taking the total case count to 43,094 as of Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the 101 new cases were reported on August 17, 2020.

The update also indicated that 8 more persons have succumbed to the disease, taking the death toll to 256.

However, the total number of recovery/discharged cases have also increased to 40,963, after 167 more persons recovered the disease since the last update on August 18.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases currently stand at 1,875.

The Ghana Health Service further indicated that 6 persons are in a critical condition, 3 are on ventilators, and 16 are in severe condition.
