Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Ghanaian undercover journalist

Anas Aremeyaw Anas has released the second part of his investigative work on how people are exploiting and profiting from COVID-19.

The first part of his investigative piece titled ‘Corona Quacks’, focused on some supposed health experts who promoted unapproved drugs as a cure for COVID-19.

Anas has now released the second part of his exposé titled ‘Cashing On Covid’.

In this investigative piece, two employees of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital – Thomas Osei, a Medicine Counter Assistant and Divine Kumordzi of the Sewing Unit of the Hospital – are seen in the video selling Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that were meant to be given to health workers for use.

These two employees of Ridge Hospital were actively selling the PPEs while doctors and nurses of the hospital were complaining about the lack of protective materials.
