Ghana’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 39,642

Ghana has recorded 567 new COVID-19 cases, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed in its latest update on Thursday, August 6, 2020.

The new cases have now increased the country’s total case count to 39,642.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the 567 new cases are from samples that were taken from the period July 1 to August 2, 2020, but reported from the lab on August 3.

The update also indicated that 821 more persons have recovered from COVID-19, increasing the total number of recovery cases to 36,384.

The number of active cases, however, currently stand at 3,059.

The Ghana Health Service further indicated that 8 persons are in a critical condition, 5 are on ventilators, and 22 are in severe condition.
