Inter Milan have completed the permanent signing of Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez on a three-year deal.
“Alexis Sanchez has joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer. The Chilean forward has signed a permanent contract with the Club until 30 June 2023,” Inter Milan announced on its website.
He becomes the third player to join Inter from United in the past 12 months, with Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young having made similar switches.
Sanchez joined Inter Milan on a one-season loan from Manchester United in August 2019, scoring four goals in 29 appearances.
The 31-year-old became the first Chilean to play a competitive game for Man United after moving from Arsenal in January 2018, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading in the opposite direction.
Sanchez played 45 games for United and scored just five goals.
Sanchez could be reunited with his former United team-mates soon, with both teams currently on course to meet in the Europa League final on August 21 in Cologne.
