
574 new COVID-19 cases have increased Ghana’s total case count to 39,075.
This was confirmed by the Ghana Health Service in its latest update on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
The 574 new cases are from samples that were taken from the period June 23 to August 1 2020, but were reported from the lab on August 2, 2020.
The update also indicated that 8 more persons have died of the disease, thereby, taking the death toll to 199.
The total number of recovery/discharged cases have also increased to 35,563, while the total number of active cases currently stand at 3,313.
The Ghana Health Service further indicated that 7 persons are in a critical condition, 5 are on ventilators, and 23 are in severe condition.
