Ghana has recorded 798 new COVID-19 cases, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed in its latest update on Monday, August 3, 2020.
The new cases have now increased the country’s total case count to 37,812.
The 798 new cases are from samples that were taken from the period June 27 to July 30, 2020, but reported from the lab on July 31.
The Ghana Health Service also indicated that the death toll has also increased to 191 after 9 more persons succumbed to the disease.
The total number of recovery/discharged cases have gone up to 34,313, while the total number of active cases currently stand at 3,308.
The update also indicated that 6 persons are in a critical condition, 4 are on ventilators, and 22 are in severe condition.
