Not to put you into shock or anything but…the cake craze has us all in our feelings.
It recently came to our notice that there are bakers who are way too talented. They are so talented they make hyper realistic cakes i.e cakes that look too real!
Naturally, we were crying about all the items we kept seeing as cake and it all seemed so far away because most of the videos and photos were from countries far away from us.
Until we saw these from Ghanaian and Nigerian bakers, making our very own local meals into cake!
Smoked Fish And Yam
In Nigeria, it’s known as Bole. It’s usually roasted plantain, yam and fish, sold by the roadside.
Yes! It’s all cake! The baker explained how it was made here:
Now look at the whole setup…in cake!
Imagine trying to pound this for palmnut soup!
Ghanaians aren’t happy about this one at all
Your soul leaves your body when you watch it get cut…
Pot of stew
Watch them cut it open:
When you are asked to go peel the yam…
Gari with soup
Or what Nigerians call Eba with ogbono soup.
Pounded yam and Egusi
There’s only one word for all this…the end is here.
