Ghanaian striker Bernard Tepketey has been expempted from his duties and obligations as a squad player by his club, Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Fortuna Düsseldorf announced this in a statement on Twitter on Monday, July 27, 2020.
“We have exempted Bernard Tekpetey from his duties and obligations as a squad player until Wednesday, July 29, so that he can look after his personal future during this time,” the statment read.
According to reports, Fortuna Düsseldorf are not happy with the conduct of the 23-year-old, who has been pushing for a move out of the club, after they were relegated to Bundesliga 2 after finishing 17th in the 2019/20 Bundesliga season.
This has, however, forced the club to allow him to go and search for a new club, despite Tekpetey having a year left on his two-year loan deal from Schalke 04.
