But with a little more effort, you can show your sense of style, your design skills—and show how creative, tech savvy and all-around awesome you are with your PowerPoint. Use Custom PowerPoint Design Templates

PowerPoint is actually a pretty well designed program. And just by using the Design tab you can make a decent presentation. However, your PowerPoint isn’t going to make everyone drool if that’s all you use.

There are hundreds of professionally designed PowerPoint templates that you can find online. And these, trust me, are breath-taking and very impressive looking. And you’ll be able to find the right template for whatever context that you want.

To use a template, all you have to do is download the PowerPoint file, open it, and edit the text elements. You also will delete the slides that you aren’t going to use. Here is an amazing library for free PowerPoint templates.

Use Image Cut-Outs

Another great way to give your PowerPoint presentations that visual oomph is using image cut-outs. These are like stickers that you put on a slide. And the great thing is that no matter how professional you want your PowerPoint to appear, there are going to be cut-outs that will fit your context.

To insert a cut-out onto a slide; make sure that you have that slide open. Once you do, click on the Insert tab and select Picture under it. After that, just choose your picture file from from its location and bada-boom bada-bing it appears on your slide.

Use Custom Fonts

The great thing about getting custom fonts is that you don’t just use them in your PowerPoint presentation. You can also use them in whatever other program that you want.

Fonts are really simple to set up. Just download the font file, install it and … and that’s it; you can access them from any application on your computer. You can get various different types of fonts here.

Keep It Simple

A wise man once said, ‘With power comes great responsibility.’ So, just because you have access to all of these elements, doesn’t mean that you have to use all of them in every single slide. While you do want your design to stand out, your main task is to communicate something.

You should try as much as possible to keep it simple. Don’t let all the visual elements overwhelm your presentation. Simplicity is also a very attractive quality in a PowerPoint presentation. Use your discretion to find a balance between edgy design choices and the coherence of your over-all presentation.

Now that you have all these tips down, there’s only one thing left to say. All hail the King/Queen of PowerPoint Presentations!
