COVID-19: Ghana Records 607 New Cases And 3 New Deaths

Ghana has recorded 607 more infections after the Ghana Health Service indicated in an earlier update on Sunday morning [July 19, 2020] that the country’s case count has gone up to 27,060.

The 607 new cases, however, have now increased the total count to 27,667.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the new cases were reported on July 16, 2020 and they are from samples that were taken between June 22 to July 15, 2020.

The death toll has also increased to 148 after 3 more persons succumbed to the disease.

Meanwhile, the total number of recovery/discharge cases have also increased to 23,249.

However, the number of active cases currently stand at 4,270.

Greater Accra Region still leads with cases 15,136, Ashanti Region is second with 5,841 cases, Western Region – 2,253, Central Region – 1,140, Eastern Region – 1,077, Volta Region – 502, Bono East Region – 294, Upper East Region – 282, Northern Region – 271, Bono Region – 266, Western North Region – 216, Oti Region – 146, Ahafo Region – 103, Upper West Region – 74, Savannah Region – 57 and North East Region – 97.
