Mohammed Kudus has officially joined Ajax on a 5-year deal from FC Nordsjaelland.

The Amsterdam-based club confirmed this on its website and social media platforms.

“Ajax has reached an agreement with Mohammed Kudus and FC Nordsjaelland about the transition of the Ghanaian to Amsterdam. The multifunctional midfielder/attacker will sign a contract that will take effect immediately and has a term of 5 years, until June 30, 2025,” Ajax’s statement read.

Kudus will wear the number 20 jersey at Ajax.

The 19-year-old completed his medical in the early hours of Thursday July 16, 2020.

His move from FC Nordsjaelland reportedly cost Ajax €9 million.

He joined FC Nordsjaelland from Right To Dream Academy in Ghana on January 1, 2018, and featured for their under-19 side before gaining promotion to the senior team, six months later.

He was one of Nordsjaelland’s best players this season, scoring 14 goals in 57 appearances.

Kudus was part of the Black Starlets team which reached the second round of the Under-17 World Cup in India in 2017. He also scored on his Black Stars debut in a 2021 AFCON qualifier against South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium on November 14, 2019.
