#SupportABusiness: The Pitch Hub Is Hosting A Campaign To Support Young Businesses

Countries like Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria in Sub-Saharan Africa have recorded the highest number of people engaged in early-stage entrepreneurial activity worldwide as reported by The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor in 2014. The number keeps increasing annually proving that the region has a lot of potential to create thriving businesses that can lead to a huge reduction in unemployment and transform the economy of the African continent. Despite the favourable numbers of brilliant business ideas, most of them remain stagnant or collapse at the early stage due to lack of financial resources or soft skills necessary for growth.
Given this background, it is clear why The Pitch Hub’s initiative is the timely intervention Africa needs.
The Pitch Hub, an award winning social enterprise solves this problem by forming partnerships with existing start-up incubators and corporate bodies to provide young entrepreneurs with business skills such as bookkeeping, digital marketing, business finance, drafting business proposals and business pitch.
These skills are necessary for business management, growth, and fundraising. The Pitch Hub, with support from its partners have trained over 500 young business owners and have helped raise funds for 10% of businesses birthed through their programs.

In this month of July, The Pitch Hub is starting a campaign dubbed #supportabusiness. The aim of the campaign is to aid young entrepreneurs to increase their online visibility and gain more expertise on relevant business strategy to stay competitive in the modern market. The #SupportABusiness Campaign will get your business featured on all Pitch Hub’s social media platforms and a personal opportunity to connect the world to your business in an Instagram live session to share your unique story. Beyond this, you will also benefit from a free one-on-one business advisory session with a Pitch Hub Consultant to take you through the burning questions you have on growing your business. “We believe social media is an essential part of business marketing strategy. This campaign will help increase brand awareness, increase reach, encourage engagement, and connect businesses to potential customers. The team is very committed to ensuring businesses reap all these benefits” – Jude Kwegyir-Aggrey, Communications Executive and Campaign Lead at The Pitch Hub.
