It seems the coronavirus pandemic is now taking it toll on Ghanaian institutions.
Government agencies, ministry offices and others have shut down because of the infections.
Currently, Ghana has 4,712 active coronavirus cases with 129 deaths.
High profile personalities such as President Akufo Addo, former President John Agyekum Kufour and his wife Theresa Kufour are in isolation for coming into contact with an infected person.
Today, former President Jerry John Rawlings has said he is also closing his office with immediate effect.
“The closure is due to the unfortunate spread of the Covid-19 virus. The decision which is aimed at protecting staff and potential visitors will be reviewed after two weeks,” the former President said.
