Valentina Mintah: She Just Made History As The First Black Woman To Join ICC Executive Board

Valentina Mintah

Ghanaian business executive, director Valentina Mintah is already making history in the world of business.

She is an entrepreneur and an experienced technology executive, with expertise in trade facilitation and process automation.

She has focused on developing and delivering integrated solutions to meet the institutional development needs of governments and private sector entities in emerging and transitional economies.

In 2012, she started West Blue Consulting, an award-winning ICT organization based in West Africa which successfully devised and delivered national single window platforms for Nigeria (2013) and Ghana (2015).

West Blue Consulting’s technology solutions have been recognized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Customs Organisation and the International Chamber of Commerce.

In 2019, Valentina founded the e-Ananse initiative, a UNESCO-backed network of libraries that worked at improving literacy in Ghana by providing young people access to high-quality, contemporary literature. 

She has experience working with bilateral and multilateral agencies including the UK’s Department for International Development, the EU, the World Bank, the IMF, USAID, the Asian Development Bank, the German Agency for International Cooperation, and the UN, for whom I was a contributing expert for the UN/CEFACT Trade Facilitation Implementation Guide published in 2012.

She holds an MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design from the City, University of London, a Certificate in Management Consulting from the Institute of Business Consulting.

There is no doubt that Valentina will do an excellent and further promote the name of Ghana on the international scene.
