The headmistress of KNUST SHS, Felicia Asamoah Dankwaa, has been interdicted after the death of a student in her school.
This is according to a statement signed by Cassandra Twum Amofo, the Head of Public Relations of the Ghana Education Service.
Students of KNUST SHS accused their headmistress and teachers of negligence over the death of their colleague. To register their displeasure with the school authorities, they staged a protest and vandalised the headmistress car.
The GES has, however, directed the headmistress to step aside for the Ashanti Regional Director of Education to take over the administration of the school.
The GES also indicated that it will investigate circumstances that led to the death of the student.
