Students of the Accra Girls Senior High School have staged a protest, asking school authorities to allow them to go home after six of them reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
According to reports, some students of the school showed symptoms of COVID-19 and were isolated at the school’s sickbay on Monday, June 29, 2020.
COVID-19 tests were subsequently run on 11 students. Six of them tested positive and were on Saturday, July 4, 2020, sent to the Ga East Municipal Hospital for treatment.
Following this development, some students of the school have staged a protest, asking authorities to allow them to go home.
In a video released by Starr Fm, the students are seen shouting “we will go home” and none of them were observing social distancing protocols.
