Chelsea are looking to sell six players to fund a swoop for Bayer Leverkusen sensation Kai Havertz. The Germany international has emerged as one of the Blues’ top targets after a brilliant campaign in the Bundesliga.
Chelsea have made an explosive start to the summer transfer window by adding Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to their ranks.
An initial £36million deal was agreed with Ajax for Ziyech in February 2020 while Werner’s arrival from RB Leipzig was confirmed after triggering his release clause in June 2020.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to back Frank Lampard after an encouraging maiden campaign in the Stamford Bridge dugout but the club want to clear deadwood to make room for Havertz, who is valued at £90m by Leverkusen.
According to Express Sport, Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kenedy and Danny Drinkwater are among the players who are likely to be shipped out.
Emerson Palmieri is the sixth man on the list and Inter Milan have opened talks with Chelsea about signing the Italy international.
Chelsea have received a couple of boosts in their bid to make Havertz their third signing of the summer.
Leverkusen have admitted they have an “agreement” in place with the 21-year-old to sanction a transfer should they receive a suitable offer.
