Parents of students of the Accra Girls Senior High School have trooped to the school premises to take their wards home after the school recorded positive COVID-19 cases.
Six students of the school tested positive for COVID-19 and they have been sent to the Ga East Municipal Hospital for treatment.
This caused the students to stage a protest on the school premises to force school authorities to allow them to go home.
In a video posted on social media, the students are seen chanting “we will go home”.
Anxious parents have now stormed the school to take their wards home.
According to Citi News, police officers have been deployed to the school to prevent the agitated parents from entering the school premises.
