The Embassy of Ghana in the USA has announced that Emirates Airline will operate periodic flights from the United Arab Emirates to Ghana starting from Thursday, July 9, 2020.

This is an opportunity for stranded Ghanaians in the United States to return home.

The Embassy of Ghana in the USA indicated in a statement that: “interested persons should visit the website of the Emirates Airline as soon as possible to make flight reservations from their current locations in the United States to Ghana connecting through the United Arab Emirates”.

The Embassy advised the interested persons to make the appropriate arrangements to arrive in the United Arab Emirates on time to connect with the flight that will leave for Ghana on July 9, 2020.

The travellers, however, upon arriving in Ghana would be required to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine in some hotels in the country and they would be required to pay for the services themselves.

“The cost of quarantine, which includes boarding and meals should be paid directly to the preferred hotel prior to departure from the United States. Only persons who have made payments of their hotel reservations would be permitted board the flight.” the statement indicated.
