President Kwame Nkrumah was a believer in the cause of the black man.
One of his most famous quotes says “the black man is capable of managing his own affairs.”
There is no doubt that he would have had a lot to say or write about the police brutality, the murder of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement.
However, thanks to archiving we have something that may make up for that.
On September 24, 1964 Reuters filed a report on Kwame Nkrumah when he met editors of Encyclopedia Africana at Ghana University, Legon.
There he is quoted to have said “the foulest intellectual rubbish ever invented by man is that of racial superiority and inferiority.”
The idea of racism stems from the idea that one race – the white race – is better than the black race.
The superiority of the white race has been academically documented.
Britanica writes that White supremacy are beliefs and ideas purporting natural superiority of the lighter-skinned, or “white,” human races over other racial groups. In contemporary usage, the term white supremacist has been used to describe some groups espousing ultranationalist, racist, or fascist doctrines. White supremacist groups often have relied on violence to achieve their goals.
