News reaching us indicates over 200 Ghanaian men and women, including a pregnant woman are stranded in Dubai due to the Travel restrictions.
These stranded Ghanaians have been under the mercy of the weather, they have survived the rain and the scorching sun by finding shelter in the shade of big trees.
According to an Indian website, These workers and families from Ghana were forced to take shelter in the streets after they lost their homes and were unable to return home.
No one warned them about social isolation, sanitization, or virus prevention. They spent more than 30 days in the landscape, with only the necessary amenities and concerns and hopes.
However the benevolence of an Unnamed Emirati has seen the stranded Ghanaians gain shelter.
In an Instagram post by Dubai Food Blogger, GasMarksix he expressed gratitude to the UAE community for responding quickly to his call to help the stranded Ghanaians.
Firstly a huge thank you to the UAE community for their prompt reaction to needs of the people stranded in Satwa.
Through the generosity of an unnamed Emirati, many now have been tranfered to sheltered air-conditioned accommodation.
I’ve been informed that the conditions are safer and more comfortable for those affected.
Although this is a short-term solution, your donations and support over the last 24hours have made a massive differences.
I’ve personally been overhelmed with calls and messages, please understand I can’t personally reply to everyone.
I will be visiting the location this week and will keep you updated via Instagram. Again a huge thank you to everyone .
