Anas Responds To Ghanaians Who Were Disappointed By His Exposé

Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Ghanaian undercover journalist

Anas Aremeyaw Anas has responded to Ghanaians who expressed disappointment over his latest exposé.

The undercover journalist, on June 29, 2020, released the first part of his two new investigative pieces.

Titled, Corona Quacks, the investigative piece revealed how some Ghanaians sold fake COVID-19 cures.

Ghanaians, however, were expecting politicians and top government officials to also appear in the exposé, but Anas has indicated that his work is aimed at making an impact and not targeted at people in high positions in government.

“We are getting to elections and people think you have to drop the name of that big politician. That is fine for their thoughts, but look, in journalism, nothing is small,” he said in an interview on Citi TV.

“It is more about impact,” he added.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas also stated that his second investigative piece will expose the corruption and mismanagement by some officials who were tasked to ensure that relief food items were distributed to the poor and vulnerable during the partial lockdown of Accra, Tema, Kasoa and Kumasi.

“The part two will focus on the stealing and I am very sad about part two,” he said.
