COVID-19: Ghana Records 597 New Cases And 502 New Recoveries

Ghana has recorded 597 new COVID-19 cases. This has increased the country’s total case count to 16,431.

The Ghana Health Service confirmed this in its latest update on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

The update also indicated that 502 more persons have recovered from COVID-19, taking the total number of recoveries to 12,257.

The death toll, however, remains at 103.

The number of active cases also currently stand at 4,071.

The regions that recorded new cases are Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western, Central, Eastern, Volta, Oti, Bono East and Bono.

The Greater Accra Region still leads with cases 9,164, Ashanti Region is second with 3,344 cases, Western Region – 1,429, Central Region – 903, Eastern Region – 541, Volta Region – 335, Upper East Region – 271, Oti Region – 110, Northern Region – 100, Western North Region – 94, Bono East Region – 50, Savannah Region – 38, Upper West Region – 35, Ahafo Region – 8, Bono Region – 5 and North East Region – 4.
