Mr Emmanuel Kuto, the Director of the Ghana Institute of Languages, earlier today [June 26, 2020] shared a detailed account of how his wife died at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital on Facebook.
According to him, his wife was administered the wrong medication. He also indicated the nurses who were tasked to take care of his wife did not show any sign of remorse as they laughed and made a mockery of the situation.
Mr Kuto’s wife died on the evening of June 25, 2020.
The account Mr Kuto gave about his wife’s death got a lot of Ghanaians talking on social media.
Virtually every social media post has condemned the actions of the staff of the Ridge Hospital, as well as, other healthcare professionals in the country who do not value the lives of their patients.
Some people also took the opportunity to share experiences that they have had at the Ridge Hospital and other hospitals in the country.
Others also stated that the nurses and doctors who were involved should be identified and sanctioned.
