COVID-19: Ghana Records 414 New Cases And 10 New Deaths

Ghana’s COVID-19 cases have risen to 14,568 after 414 new infections were recorded.

This was disclosed by Dr Patrick Aboagye, the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, in a COVID-19 press briefing on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

According to Dr Patrick Aboagye, the 414 new cases were reported from 25 districts in 3 regions — Greater Accra, Ashanti and Eastern.

The Greater Accra Region recorded 332 cases, Ashanti Region recorded 55 cases and Eastern Region recorded 27 cases.

Dr Patrick Aboagye also indicated that 434 more patients have recovered from the disease, which has increased the total number of recoveries to 10,907.

Meanwhile, the death toll has also increased to 95 after 10 more patients succumbed to the disease.

The number of active cases currently stand at 3,566.

Dr Patrick Aboagye further indicated that there are currently 24 severe cases, 6 critical cases and 5 persons are on ventilators.
