The National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), a non-profit public sector organization under the Ministry of Trade and Industry has set up a registration point at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) City Hall to register businesses in the Accra Metropolis and beyond which were affected by the Coronavirus.

This follows the launch of the Coronavirus Alleviation Business Support Scheme by His Excellency, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to provide support to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) negatively impacted by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

A Business Advisor in charge of Accra Business Advisory Centre, Flora Kumi explained that it takes a maximum of 30 minutes to complete the registration process adding that one would need a TIN number and his or her business certificates.

She urged small scale businesses affected by the COVID-19 to register with the NBSSI in order to benefit from government’s support.

Meanwhile, the Information Services Department (ISD) has begun public announcement to encourage small scale business owners to apply for the support.

If you run an SME, you have to take advantage of this opportunity.
