Ghana’s COVID-19 cases have now increased to 11,964.
This was confirmed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his 11th address to the nation, on the COVID-19 case management, on Sunday, June 14 2020.
“As at midnight of 13th June, the total number of positives, cumulatively, stands at eleven thousand, nine hundred and sixty-four (11,964), out of the two hundred and fifty-four thousand three hundred and thirty-one (254,331), tests conducted,” the President said.
The update by the President comes barely 24 hours after the Ghana Health Service confirmed that the country has recorded 304 new cases.
The President also indicated that 4,258 persons have fully recovered from the disease and the death toll has also increased to 54.
He added that the number of active cases now stand at 7,652
President Akufo-Addo further indicated that 13 persons are severely ill, 6 are critically ill and 3 are currently on ventilators.
