The Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned of rain and thunder which are expected to affect the southern areas of the country this evening, varying between the hours of 3:00pm and 8:00pm.
According to a statement issued on June 14, 2020, and signed by Raphael Osei Boakye, the Duty Forecaster at the Ghana Meteorological Agency, moderate to strong winds are expected as well.
The statement also indicated that the probability of occurrence is 80%.
Places expected to be affected include Aflao, Ada, Akatsi, Ho, Hohoe Tema, Accra, Kpong, Somanya, Koforidua, Akim Oda, Nkawkaw, Anyinam, Winneba, Cape Coast, Senya Breku, Elmina, Tarkwa, Twifo Praso, Assin Foso, Dunkwa On Offin, Breman Asikuma, Sekondi-Takoradi, Axim, Asankragua, Bekwai, Jamasi, Mampong, Juaben, Kumasi.
“The Northern sector on the other hand is still expected to be generally cloudy with intermittent rains,” the statement added.
