Frank Lampard on this day in 2001 became a Chelsea player.
Super Frank, as he is affectionately called by Chelsea fans, joined the West London club for £11m from West Ham United at the age of 22.
He is regarded as Chelsea best signing ever!
Since signing for Chelsea on June 14, 2001, Lampard went on to become the club’s all-time goalscorer with 211 goals.
Lampard is also Chelsea’s all-time top-flight league scorer. He scored 147 Premier League goals for the Blues.
At Chelsea, he reached double figures for goals in 10 consecutive seasons, and 20 goals or more in five seasons in a row.

Lampard played for the west London club for 13 seasons, where he won 13 trophies including one UEFA Champions League title, one Europa League title, three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups and two FA Community Shield titles.
Lampard was runner-up for the FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon d’Or in 2005.
Interestingly, his is the current coach of Chelsea.
